MOONSET: Sculptures that shine with purpose

MOONSET: Esculturas que brillan con propósito

More than jewels, they are sculptures.

From her studio between Barcelona and San José, Costa Rican designer Montserrat Valverde has created a poetic universe in which each piece of jewelry transcends aesthetics: they are small, powerful sculptures that connect with the soul. Moonset, a name that evokes the moment the moon sets from the sky, reflects that magical transition between inner strength and the subtlety of design.

Ethical jewelry that touches the skin… and the heart

For Moonset, design isn't just about creating something beautiful, but about doing so consciously. Each collection is born from a deep desire to respect the processes, honor the hands that make it possible, and offer an ethical alternative within the world of fashion. Production is handcrafted, local, and in limited quantities. The pieces are developed in collaboration with women artisans in Costa Rica, with whom Montserrat has forged a network of support, learning, and empowerment.

Delicacy as revolution

The Moonset universe has an aesthetic that seems to speak in whispers, yet leaves a powerful mark. There's an organic softness to the shapes, a poetry to the curves, and a fluidity reminiscent of the movement of water or the sway of a thought. Each piece of jewelry has a purpose, a story. These aren't adornments, but rather intimate statements; they're pieces that invite you to look at them again and again in detail.

Beyond sparkle, Moonset celebrates the connection between body, shape, and energy. Each earring, ring, or necklace is designed to be a part of you, not just about you. Nothing is superfluous: everything is thoughtful in scale, weight, and how it feels against the skin. These are jewels to live with, to accompany you in your daily life, as a reminder of who you are and a declaration of your uniqueness and difference.

Montserrat Valverde was born in Costa Rica, studied design in Barcelona, and has since built a bridge between the two geographies. Her vision combines ancestral knowledge with contemporary exploration. At Moonset, handmade isn't a trend; it's a commitment. Her collections embrace slow time, conscious production, and the intention to leave a positive mark at every step of the creative process.
